Pay rate: Open , Looking for the right candidate

**Active Clearance Required: Top Secret (SCI w/ poly preferred

Has Software Mission Assurance exp, Capable of reading contractual docs, extract requirements, dev & perform audits for compliance, Understands software dev life cycle (Kick-off, PDR, CDR, Design, Unit/Functional Testing, Verification, Build Releases, Formal Qualification, Integration, Validation, & Mission Ops).

Need somebody familiar w/ NASA Software Assurance process e.g. NASA-STD8739.8, & CMMI practices as a minimum. Need somebody w/ Type A personality, extrovert, auditor but also mentor. Somebody that works well under pressure & can help people get together to resolve issues.

Team: Will support multiple prog.s, & w/in each prog. there will be multiple subsystems. The job is very independent, but in constant interaction w/ all progs & subsystem members.**

The Software Mission Assurance Eng is a unique function, working on spacecraft prog.s, highly interactive w/ multiple subsystems, & knowledgeable of the overall software dev life-cycle process including software planning, design, implementation, verification, validation, acceptance & delivery.

Ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the software life cycle, process & product compliance, ISO, Agile & CMMI audits, nonconformance system, & a detail oriented approach to identify & capture noncompliance & risks throughout the software’s dev life cycle & maintenance. Excellent people & technical skills are required to coordinate w/subsystems, conduct compliance analysis & audits, implement corrective actions, & interact w/ mgmt.

Responsibilities
•Define software mission assurance requirements, & implement software qual. assurance processes to ensure software mission assurance success of prog.s
•Support prog. reviews such as Software Requirements, Preliminary Design, Critical Design, Test Readiness, etc.
•Review & approve software work products
•Ensure software compliance to polices, processes, & standard requirements (e.g. ISO, CMMI, IEEE, NASA, SAE, etc.). Plan audits, bring to resolution compliance findings
•Identify non-conformances/root cause; implement corrective/preventive actions
•Chair Software Config. Control Boards, review software changes & approved implementation using related software problem tracking tools (e.g. TRAC, Razor, Jira, etc.)
•Witness software/firmware verification testing, software patches & software validation to ensure compliance to requirements & procedures
•Interact w/ customers, subcontractors & Enging, ensuring product’s compliance/resolve issues
•Dev & deliver required metrics, presentations & reports to customers
•Support Mission Ops for in mission spacecraft life support, in particular software assurance for flight software patches

Requirements
•BS in Enging or related
•Knowledge of Software Qual. Assurance standards
•Knowledge of aerospace software dev life cycles
•Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
•Knowledge of software nonconforming product tracking systems

Plus:
•Knowledge of DOORS or similar tools
•Understanding C/C++
•Software lab testing
•Test scripts exp
•Writing Test Procedure & Test Cases
