PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an Assembler to support electronic and mechanical repair, modification, and assembly operations in Wichita, KS. This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in producing high-quality aerospace components.

Job Type: Full time; Consultant (6 months) 
Location: Wichita, KS 67209
Schedule: Monday to Friday; Shift: 1st, 2nd, or 4th shift available
Training will be on 4th shift
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Role Summary & Impact

As an Assembler, you’ll perform repair, modification, and assembly work on aerospace electronic and mechanical units. Your craftsmanship directly supports aircraft reliability, safety, and performance while helping maintain the high standards required in aerospace manufacturing and service environments.

What You’ll Do Day to Day

• Perform repair and modification work on electronic and mechanical assemblies

• Disassemble units, replace or add components, wiring, cabling, and subassemblies, then reassemble per specifications

• Work from overhaul manuals, service bulletins, schematics, wiring diagrams, job write-ups, and verbal instructions

• Assemble special avionics test panels and fixtures for internal use and customer resale

• Perform soldering, drilling, and minor mechanical operations per drawings and location diagrams

• Maintain quality standards using our Workmanship Standards

• Record repair and modification results and labor time on service documentation

• Participate in Lean activities and continuous improvement initiatives

• Communicate issues and observations to supervision

• Follow all safety procedures and participate in facility safety programs

Required Qualifications

• Ability to solder (required)

• Experience performing electronic and mechanical assembly or repair

• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to work assigned shifts and complete training on 4th shift
  
  This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace, avionics, or electronics assembly experience

• Familiarity with workmanship standards and quality documentation

• Experience with Lean or continuous improvement activities
