Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis Engineer

Location: Ridley Park, PA Hybrid , onsite 3 days a week * in the future could move to onsite 5 days a week*
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12 Months)
Pay Rate Starting at : $43.81  per hour

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a premier aerospace organization to bring on a Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis Engineer to support the development of critical mechanical, fluid, and thermal systems. In this role, you’ll contribute directly to the design, integration, and analysis of complex aerospace systems—ensuring performance, safety, and manufacturability from concept through production.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and modify detailed mechanical system component and assembly designs

• Support the development and documentation of mechanical, fluid, and thermal system architectures

• Create and maintain design documentation, specifications, and processes that support manufacturing and assembly

• Perform spatial integration at the system and component level, including mechanisms, landing gear, and ordinance systems

• Analyze design results and support technical and design reviews

• Participate in technical reviews of supplier designs and resolution of non-conformances

• Assist in preparing technical documentation for mechanical components and systems

• Support proposal development and new business initiatives as needed

• Work under general supervision while collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited engineering program

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering classification (or Master’s degree with relevant experience)

• Strong mechanical design experience

• Proficiency with CATIA

• Experience with requirements development and tools such as DOORS

• Understanding of system safety analysis principles
  
  This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace or defense industry experience

• Experience supporting supplier design reviews and manufacturing non-conformances

• Familiarity with mechanical system integration in complex platforms
