Tooling Inventory Clerks - Hawthorne, CA

Description:
STS AeroStaff Services is currently hiring Tooling Inventory Clerks for open positions in Hawthorne, California.

Job Duties:

• Acknowledge and take receipt of all incoming materials and packages, identify receipt in ERP/Warp, transport to receiving inspection, stockroom or identified buyer/requestor
• Support the packaging and shipping of materials
• Take direction from Shipping/Receiving lead
• Receive all materials/packages and transact receipt in the ERP/WARP Receiving system
• Create/print receiver travelers for the receipt of material/packages
• File and maintain records of packing sheets/invoices for a minimum of 2 years
• Responsible for system integrity in regards to all receipts and shipments
• Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with good practice and procedures
• Verify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers and quantity (as required)
• Validate Lot Trace (as required)
• Interface with Traffic, Quality Control, Purchasing and other related departments to resolve problems relative to receipt and distribution of material
• Perform good housekeeping chores in area
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment per Safety procedures
• Evaluate hazardous receipts/shipments and determine applicable methodology and packaging specifications
• Coordinate internal receipt pickup and internal delivery service (as required)

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a shipping and receiving role
• High School Diploma or GED required

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience in a high volume manufacturing, automotive, or commercial aircraft environment
• Strong computer skills

Additional Requirements:

• Must be capable to be certified to operate a fork lift and/or other material handling motorized vehicles and equipment and the handling of hazardous material
• Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
• Able to lift unassisted 40lbs.
• Must be able to work all hours required, and overtime, as needed
