Quality Engineer

Description:
Position: Quality Engineer
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Duration: One Year

Indotronix is seeking a Quality Engineer with strong QA experience to work on a Combat Vehicle Project in York, PA. This quality engineering position will work directly with the assembly and test departments on 2nd shift to ensure timely and accurate built and test results as well as directly interfacing with the customer who performs inspections on product.

Position Description:
This position will work directly with the assembly and test departments to ensure timely and accurate built and test results as well as directly interfacing with the customer who performs inspections on product. Independently gathers, analyzes, and prepares recurring QA metrics and reports across Combat Vehicle programs of various size and complexity. Advises Program QA and QA Engineering staff regarding
new developments and trends that may adversely impact delivery schedule, program cost or overall product quality and conformance to requirements.
Supports and responds to all requests from the QA organization regarding program, business and systems data gathering, analysis and presentation.
Serves as a consultant to management and also acts as a lead to team members to train and develop new team members. Develops and implementstools and procedures to aid in the strategic execution of quality processes and procedures. Independently develops solutions to a variety of complex problems, requiring a high degree of maturity, personal initiative and innovation.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Implement requests from members of the QA organization, to include the Director, PQA and QA Engineering Manager, PQA Engineers and QA
Engineers, to fulfill contract deliverable requirements (CDRLs), business and systems data analysis requirements.
• Develop and propose new and innovative tools and procedures for strategic QA functional deployment and program support.
• Guide and instruct key members of the QA organization in proper and efficient use of company technological and systems assets.
• Develop, implement, and monitor QA functional and program-specific metrics and analysis.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
• Share responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.

Skills Required:
5 years QA/Operations experience; or relevant Master’s degree plus 3 years QA/Operations experience Strong analytical skills, excellent
communication skills (written & verbal), excellent presentation skills, and ability to work with a wide variety of software packages Earned
value knowledge and experience. Knowledge and familiarity of basic Quality concepts and their application

Skills Preferred:
Relevant Bachelor’s degree (typically Engineering, Business or Information Systems) or equivalent
