Senior Interior design release engineer

Description:
The Design Release Engineer (Interiors Engineering) is responsible for the development, execution, and deliverables associated to the complete vehicle interior.

• Knowledge of automotive vehicle systems with an emphasis on automotive interiors, including but not limited to; interior assemblies, components, materials, tooling, packaging, & dimensional specifications.
• Knowledge of interior lighting, electrical wiring, speakers, HVAC, airbags & restraints.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing, Best Practices, Interior Development Processes, Global Safety Requirements, Regulations & Zones (including FMVSS, ECE/ECC and head impact effects on interiors) Continuous Improvement and Aesthetic Interior Design (Studio).
• Knowledge of Automotive Interior Supply Chain and a basic understanding of sourcing processes

Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum 7 years in Automotive Interiors (other areas considered with applicable experience).
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering. MBA is a plus.
• CAD experience preferred. Basic PC Skills (Email, Excel, Word, and relevant technical software).
