RF Board level Design Engineer (281)

Description:
*This is a full time, 9-12 month contract position, located in Owego, NY*

We are seeking a MW RF Engineer who will be designing radome antenna systems for military applications. Candidate will be working particularly in the board design, but also in all facets from base level circuitry used in receivers, transmitters, antennas, low noise or high power amplifiers, synthesizers to hardware layouts, component evaluations, prototype construction, testing and implementation.

Some daily duties will include testing RF hardware [and testing with network analyzers, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers], doing link analysis and optimization-including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources, identifies/tracks RF technical performance measurements (TPMs), conducts RF system/subsystem/ component trade studies and CAIV analysis. Supports Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis.

Required:
*7 years’ experience in MW RF Engineering, particularly in circuit board/card design.
*Experience with schematic capture and printed wiring board layout using industry tools (Cadence, ORCAD, Mentor Graphics, Zuken CR-5000).
*Able to apply and gain a Secret Clearance upon starting, which requires US Citizenship.
*Per diem split is available for candidates living more than 75 miles from Owego, NY
*4 Year engineering degree

Pluses:
*Antenna radome designing experience
*Test equipment design and programming using one or more of the following: Spice, HFSS, ADS, Matlab, Labview, Wireless Communication.
*Experience with laboratory work/testing and with analog, RF, and digital hardware, including practical experience with network analyzers, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
