Systems Engineer 3

Description:
Seeking 3 Systems Engineer 3's located in El Segundo, CA. - Requires an active TS clearance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Systems Engineers for the Ground Satellite System Programs supporting proprietary ground system development programs. Tasking includes full life-cycle development, integration and test. Provides a system engineering approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Leads others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Primary Responsibilities:
• Define, schedule, and assign tasks, and monitor completion to validate system-of-systems concepts, system concepts and subsystem concepts by inspection, analysis, test, and demonstration to assure that the system architecture and design concepts satisfy the intent of the customer requirements.
• Coach, mentor, and train others.
• Lead or consult on defining, scheduling, and assigning tasks, and monitoring completion to lead the monitoring of integration and checkout activities, receiving and evaluating of results of activities.
• Lead or consult on managing, monitoring, and reporting the progress and status of integration, checkout, and verification activities and anomaly resolutions by directing and reviewing these activities to assure integration validity and to enable meeting the program schedule.
• Lead the above for highly complex or broad scope programs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in ground and software system systems engineering (requirements, design, and operation).
• Experience producing technical communication, both written and verbal.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:
• Familiarity with integrated systems for space mission management and command & control.
• Familiarity with Government programs & processes.
• Excellence in producing technical communication (written/verbal).

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

MISCELLANEOUS:
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.
