Description: This Company is commercializing a new class of flow battery technology for low-cost grid-scale energy storage based on novel aqueous electrolyte solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Engineering Operations team in supporting the execution of the test program in Andover, MA.

Typical responsibilities will include installation, operation, troubleshooting and disassembly of battery systems, equipment calibration & repair, inventory management and facilities support. The successful candidate will interface with chemical, mechanical and electrical engineers, battery scientists and lab technicians in driving lean initiatives and optimizing operating efficiency. The individual must be a proactive team player with keen attention to detail and flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and challenging work environment.

Basic Qualifications:
• High school diploma/general education degree (GED) (Associate's/Bachelor's degree in STEM field preferred) and at least 3 years laboratory experience
• Experience with chemical handling, basic plumbing, mechanical power tools and electrical systems
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
• Ability to lift 50lbs, work on a lab floor and stand for prolonged periods of time

Desired Skills:
• Experience with electrochemical systems and/or chemical lab environments executing test scripts on complex systems
• Experience following written and verbal procedures, updating laboratory SOPs and identifying areas of improvement
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles and experience with implementation of associated tools eg 5s, Kaizen etc
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail

Ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial lab setting in a wet chemistry environment.
