Mechanical Engineer/Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Design (153)

Description:
*This is a 6-9 month, contract to hire position located in York, PA*

We are seeking a heavy vehicle mechanical engineer who will be supporting design and supplier activities. Appropriate applicant will have some good knowledge of design, but also of welding and forging. Applicant will be modelling and designing for military manufactured equipment and assemblies. The work will involve working with layouts, drawings, test plans/reports and procedures encompassing various methodologies include ASME/GD&T and MIL-STDs.

Required:
*7 years’ heavy vehicle welding and forging experience.

*Designing/drafting experience, preferably with CREO
*Experience in documentation and drawings, BOMs.

*AS degree

Preferred:
*DoD designing experience

*Knowledge of ASME Y14.5-2009

*Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
