Camera Repair Technician

~ Need two Technicians with experience troubleshooting and repairing camera in support of the Tucson Depot; positions will be indefinite as they’re expanding & hope to continue the growth.
~ Experience troubleshooting and repairing cameras, including sub-assembly, assembly, inspection, modifications, upgrades, and rework, is a MUST

Job Summary

Electro-mechanical evaluation, repair, and testing of electronic camera related products and identify issues that could occur during field deployment of the cameras / systems, and coordinate and assist in developing solutions to these problems. This may include engineering assets, pre-production, production, and post production assemblies. The work activities will be performed in a shop environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

> Receive training in the company’s manufacturing facility to understand the production, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the integrated surveillance products / camera’s mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems.
> Collect field failure data, develop test procedures using schematics and wiring diagrams, execute tests utilizing standard test instruments and hand tools, repair the system, and then validate repairs by using established acceptance test procedures.
> Perform camera system and sub-system testing as necessary to proactively identify issues that could occur during field deployment of the system, and coordinate and assist in developing solutions to these problems.
> Perform advanced troubleshooting and depot level maintenance to ensure prompt repair and achievement of contractually obligated operational availability metrics.
> Repairing an extensive variety of cameras, including sub-assembly, assembly, inspection, modifications, upgrades, and rework in accordance to Manufacturing documentation (assembly/repair instructions, configuration logs, etc)
> Maintain a log of repair actions and incidents. Identify recurring issues where design or software modifications could lead to improved system availability and reduced maintenance costs, and prepare preliminary proposals for such modifications for review and discussion with the system design team.
> Will be responsible for spare part inventory controls to include packaging, handling, shipping and transport of spare parts and disposal actions

Experience:

> 5+ years’ experience supporting camera or integrated surveillance products & a High School Diploma or equivalent
> Prior military experience or Customs & Border Patrol (CBP) experience is a plus.
> Ability to work from written instructions, wiring diagrams, etc.
> Assembly of electro-mechanical components with related tooling
> Manual dexterity, ability to work with small parts for extended amounts of time
> Mechanical AND Electro-Mechanical assembly
> US Citizenship only
> Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
> Experienced with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
> Familiar with PC hardware and software
