SLS Tech Lead Engineer

Description:
Provide engineering support for the SLS Space Launch System (SLS) Stages Green Run Safing Checks Test Procedure. Candidate must have either a Bachelor's degree with 14 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 12 or more years' experience, OR PhD with 9 or more years' experience. Degree must be in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry. Experience with space launch vehicles (Space Shuttle, Delta, Atlas, Falcon, etc.). Experience with integrated test or launch operations in a countdown environment (launch pad to vehicle integrated operations, integrated engine test stand operations, etc.). Experience with integrated ground and flight command, control, and communication systems. Experience with complex test procedure development involving fail-safe systems operations (ground & flight), redundancy management, fault simulations/emulations. Experience with software based emulators/simulators. Ability to work with limited oversight/direction. Ability to resolve unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions while coordinating with numerous contractor and NASA Subject Matter Experts (SME’s). No Security Clearance needed.
