C++ Software Engineer

Description:
804 Technology is currently looking for an Advanced Software Engineer for a long term contract role located in Troy MI but will also consider candidates in Milford OH or Cypress CA. The Software Engineer will need to have experience in the areas of Graphical Pre-Processing of Finite Element Analysis with an emphasis on leveraging modern C++ techniques to produce fast and efficient solutions on todays and future computer architectures. This position entails developing and deploying production application Simcenter 3D.
• Main objective is to develop new features in Simcenter 3D Pre-Processing, Siemens’ flagship CAE software program.
• Knowledge and understanding of OO design techniques
• You will be a part of an Agile team of 6 member using Scrum framework

Responsibilities
Design, develop and deploy features in Simcenter 3D Pre-Processing focused on Solution definition in Pre-Processing
Work with Product Owners to understand customer requirements and bring those enhancements to market in a timely manner.
Leverage new technological frontiers in OO design and C++ to improve performance
Work with QA, Technical Support and Technical Doc groups to verify implementation, develop test suites, and documentation.
Sample areas include Loads and Boundary Condition, Materials, and Formula/Table data Fields.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

Master’s degrees in Computer Science or Engineering.
Graduate level courses in Software Design and Programming Language C++/C++11/C++14 or applicable work experience
Knowledge and understanding of OO design techniques
Demonstrated knowledge of applied physical sciences through course work or experience
Familiar with windows development environment including Visual Studio IDE
Excellent oral and written English communication skills,
Work collaboratively in an agile team by defining and planning the work of development, QA and Application engineers
Communicate a clear understanding of the technology to other teams and customers
Ability to Travel to coordinate with our various development centers: 5%
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Python, PERL and other scripting languages.
Agile development methods and tools.
