DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Job Summary:
A Diagnostic Systems Engineer will be a highly-motivated individual with excellent communication skills. This includes adhering to and improving current processes while applying common SE (systems engineering) principles. The candidate will be experienced in fostering cross-functional relationships and influencing the outcomes of technical discussions.

DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience in vehicle, transmission, engine emissions technology and/or diagnostics a plus
• Able to provide training sessions, to expand professional colleagues, suppliers, and customer’s knowledge around Diagnostics
• Demonstrates good understanding and applies knowledge of an engineering discipline
• Familiar with SE Requirements tools databases such as Excel, DOORS, TeamCenter or PTC Integrity

DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS ENGINEER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure requirements compliance by providing cross-functional guidance on Diagnostic requirements
• Works cross-functionally with other engineers and Diagnostic leader to help improve Diagnostic capabilities, processes and products
• Applies engineering and/or scientific skills and continues to develop experience in creating engineering solutions
• Supports gate reviews of transmission, engine, or emission technology and/or diagnostics
• Develops and enforces system engineering processes
DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS ENGINEER QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree in Engineering required (BSME, BSEE, etc.)
• 3-5 years of relevant professional work experience preferred
• Experience in the automotive industry and related work experience with engine and after treatment a plus
