Tooling & Equipment Catalog Design Engineer

Description:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Two (2) years of drafting/design experience to include documented experience in a tool shop or machine shop environment. Two (2) years of direct tool design experience required.
Essential Functions: 1. Design, build and maintain comprehensive PS & customer facing tooling catalog that will be used in the manufacture and support of company aircraft. 2. Conduct reviews and analyze technical documents to gain a thorough understanding of how complex systems operate and how they are to be integrated into technical manuals to provide the end user with the level of text and graphics to support the efficient return to service of the aircraft system. 3. Collaborate with PS Tool Design Engineer II, engineering, manufacturing engineering and operations to determine optimal procedures 4. Technological knowledge about SAP’s services, plant maintenance, WMS, and using reporting transactions. 5. The ability to explain technical information in a clear and simple manner 6. Actively works to improve daily processes, and ensures all work meets customer requirements. 7. Assist PS Tool designer II as needed, during Periodic and Conformity Inspections. 8. Assist in formulating Tooling Catalog Design policies, procedures, and specifications as required. Perform other duties as assigned.
