Certification Engineer III - (OK)

Description:
As a Program Certification Engineer this person will support various aspects of the applicant certification process for the Executive Transport Services and Support (ETS&S) Organization. This person will utilize their existing understanding of the FAA 14 CFR Part 25 to develop approaches to address certification challenges and develop the certification artifacts for a variety of Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) projects. These projects support aircraft modification efforts for the United States Air Force customer. This person will be expected work under general or minimal direction.

This position will assist the assigned program with the following tasks, as needed:

- Work with the Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) Office, Unit Members (UM), and Engineering organization to understand certification requirements.
- Develop cert documentation such as certification plans, conformity plans, and compliance summary reports.
- Build and brief familiarity briefings, preliminary type board, and final type board presentations.
- Work with the UMs and ODA Office to find solutions to complex cert projects.

Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.

- At least 4 years of certification experience with FAA projects.
- Prior experience with FAA certification requirements and FAR regulations (specifically 14 CFR Part 25), including knowledge and working experience with FAA certification processes.
- Written and verbal communication skills with a strong technical content.
