Document Management Architect

Description:
Client utilizes Document Management tools in a global environment. Will need to support the current Client Communications and Collaboration collection of document management applications.
Specify design and implement Document Management software and its integration with other applications.
Participate in Client Collaboration Tools strategic projects. Select, blueprint, gather requirements, design, and roll out solutions to end users.
Ensure our systems stay compliant with Client policies, US and International laws.
The Document Management Architect is also responsible for ensuring high levels of system availability through monitoring and in-depth testing.
Execute IT projects that support Client Aerospace Systems business objectives.
The projects can include developing custom applications or implementing software solutions purchased from a third party Application Service Providers.
Projects typically involve working with Client divisions.


Additional Job Details:
1. Build and configure Document Management environments.
2. Support and maintain existing installations of Documentum.
3. Perform configuration changes as needed on production environment which are submitted through Help Desk tickets and service requests.
4. Review and fix Documentum security as needed.
5. Ensure knowledge transfer of best practices.
6. Provide ongoing operation and maintenance activities including periodic software upgrades.
7. Ensure technical architecture designs are compatible with the department's current / future standards and are supportable.
8. Assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for Documentum development in conjunction with end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
9. Direct, organize, and lead projects in the implementation and use of Documentum software tools and systems.
10. Design, test, and document all modification of the Documentum environment.
11. Analyze user requirements and, based on findings, design functional specifications for Documentum.
12. Conduct job duties and responsibilities according to the organizations business systems development methodology and/or its Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology. Also, familiar with the Agile methodology.
13. Assist end-user training and training materials; provide technical support as necessary.
14. Troubleshoot tools, systems, and software; performance-tune these applications as necessary.
15. Remain abreast of trends in relevant software and technologies. As required, lead efforts to analyze and recommend solutions.

Experience/Skills:
1. Experience / knowledge the following technologies: * Documentum 7.x, including DA, Webtop, xPlore, API/DQL queries * D2 4.7 Development & Configuration, C2, and D2 * Support of Captiva 7.5 Modules and Customization * Microsoft .NET Software Development * Linux Server Administration * C#, VB .NET * Windows Server * Microsoft SQL Server Basics * Oracle Basics
2. Minimum of 7 - 10 years direct work experience.
3. Strong ability to install and configure a Documentum.
4. Strong understanding of Documentum: theories, principles, and practices.
5. Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
6. Strong understanding of the organizations goals and objectives.
7. Strong written and oral communication skills.
8. Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
9. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
10. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
11. Experience will be acceptable in lieu degree.
