Test Engineer

Description:
The Test Engineer will: •Provide test engineering product and project support.
•Troubleshoot product to component levels,
•Read schematics and repair/diagnose test equipment for manufacturing lines including MDA, 3070 ICT and functional test equipment.
•Debug and repair test equipment to reduce downtime due to production test failures and poor test yields.
•Work on other assigned projects with department engineers and assist in TOW and NPIs as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •Recommend and assist in developing and implementing process improvements
•Assist the team in defect data collection
•Provide all test equipment and line setup support needed to produce a quality product at customer demand quantities
•Assist in training team associates in the test operations
•Keep production line running as a top priority and prioritize additional tasks
•Perform root cause analysis and drive the corrective action process
•Maintain and support all safety rules, company policy, and lean culture and Team procedures. Employees are required to comply with all applicable Environmental, Health and Safety regulations, internal SRA’s, site- and any job-specific safe working procedures. All employees are required to report any workplace hazards and incidents (including near miss incidents, first aid, work-related injuries and/or illnesses) and are encouraged to participate as members of EHS action teams
•Support and drive continuous improvement by participating in lean activities and the ACE management system

QUALIFICATIONS •Understanding of component values, voltage, resistance, current circuitry
•Must be competent in LabView, C++ and completed 3070 ICT training
•Able to read schematics and diagnose issues with actions to address the problem
•Oracle ERP is a plus
•Good problem-solving skills with ability to adapt quickly to change
•Able to communicate in the English language, both verbal and written, to support team level goals
•May be required to lift properly up to 30 pounds maximum. If an employee needs to lift over 30 pounds, it needs to be done with two employees lifting or needs to be reported to EHS to determine what can be done for a lifting aid.
•Able to multi-task and work cooperatively in a fast-paced, team environment
•Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering or related technical degree plus two to three years of related experience working with test equipment and troubleshooting electronic devices.
