Clinical Integration Engineer (JBOSS Req)

The Clinical Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, maintaining and solving HL7 integration between our Safety Software and our EHR Partners using Mirth Connect with custom Java code for mapping input and output.

Also, includes onsite participation with customer “go live” events for seamless coordination and administration with our EMR Partners. As well as improving our Java based safety software applications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

--Develop object oriented software solutions using Java as the primary programming language.
--Interact and manage multiple EHR Partners and Clinical Integration customers to problem solve in a real-time basis.
--Represent our client with professionalism, which includes appropriate attire when engaged with our partners and customers.
--Lead investigations of complex system level issues to determine root cause and propose resolutions.
--Write and maintain technical procedures and documentation for the application interfaces developed.
--Work in an agile, object-oriented, team environment with version control, change management and continuous improvement protocols.
--Ensure compliance with company’s quality systems and software development practices.

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

**MUST HAVE STRONG JBOSS BACKGROUND TO BE CONSIDERED**
Software Engineer with strong knowledge of Java and SQL Server (or other database servers)
Experience with developing HL7 interfaces using Mirth Connect (or other EHR Interoperability Technology)
Ability to perform network diagnostics and/or knowledge of networking protocols
Knowledge of healthcare / hospital environments a plus.
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
Good data analysis, communication, troubleshooting and writing skills are required.
Ability to work under deadline driven pressure.
Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years’ experience in a software engineering role.
2+ years’ developing software using Java.
1+ year of JavaScript experience.
