Mass Properties Engineer

Description:
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Rate: $63.97/HR
Duration: 1 year W2 contract
Shift: 9/80-A
Per Diem Split: Yes (if eligible)
Overtime: Possible

Job Description:
Experienced Mass Properties Engineer to perform a variety of mass properties analysis tasks (weight, center-of-gravity, inertia) that include but are not limited to:
1) Working with members of the F-35 Weight Management & Control Integrated Product Team (IPT) and other IPTs to support analysis of configuration changes;
2) Performing analysis to determine the weigh, balance, and moment of inertia characteristics of detail parts and assemblies;
3) Managing mass properties via companies data management system; and
4) Analyzing trade study impacts to support configuration change decisions.

Requirements:
- Experience Calculating design changes for analysis
- CATIA 5 experience required
- Mass Properties experience / weight balance / inertia engineer / design analysis analyzing the weight and balance impact of design using CATIA
- Most commonly will have Aeronautical Engineer Degree or Mechanical Engineering Degrees
- Aviation/Aerospace experience required

Education:
- B.S. +4-8 YRS of experience or M.S. +2-6 YRS of experience
- Will accept experience in lieu of degree
