Principle Power Supply Engineer

The Qualified Principal Hardware Design Engineer will have military or space-level design experience, be skilled in power supply design, analysis, concepts critical to parametric variations and how environmental and mission use conditions affect hardware performance.

This is a contract position that will last ABOUT 8 months. You may have the option of working at our client site in the Tampa, FL or Redmond, WA area. OR you may have the ability to work out of Phoenix, AZ.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Designing Assigned Circuitry
Completing worst-case analyses
Reviewing analyses completed by other engineers to provide alternate design solutions for any non-compliance that is identified
Supporting testing of breadboards & prototypes of the design
Regularly Reporting any progress
Will be analytically modeling all circuits to consider least favorable parametric variations and environmental effects to include:
Radiation (if applicable)
Input & Output Limits
Operating Points/Environments
Initial Tolerance
Hardware will be designed in DxDesigner.
Analysis will be performed to level 3 utilizing ED22764 as a reference.

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is generally seen on the resume of a qualified candidate for this position but we will consider other technical/engineering degrees as well.
Experience in designing hardware for military or space industries
Must have 6+ years of experience in Power Supply Design & Analysis
Must understand & have experience analyzing parametric variations & environmental mission conditions
Ability to work under deadline driven pressure.
Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking.
