Electrical Engineering Test Specialist

Description:
Notes from the Hiring Manager:

* Testing background with electrical work experiences; ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings
* Networking and circuitry exp with above average computer knowledge (Linux, VMWare, Redhat, etc.)
* Awareness/knowledge of electrical safety and power requirements

Summary:

To perform Configuration and Acceptance Testing of Complex Electronic Systems / Assemblies. Performs a variety of complex technical functions related to the support of manufacturing and engineering activities such as set-up, operation, testing or calibration of systems, circuitry, networking, software, and specialized equipment within a production setting.

Job Description:

> Knowledge of analog and digital symbol identification
> Knowledge of test practices and procedures.
> Personal computer skills required to configure and load SW.
> Ability to read/interpret schematics, assembly drawings, parts lists and wire data lists.
> Ability to operate test equipment such as: ohmmeters, digital voltmeters, generators, counters, oscilloscopes, and personal computers.
> LINUX Operating System experience able to run detailed procedures to configure Firmware and load Software, Test and Troubleshoot, RF Experience, and run Acceptance Test Procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required:

> 5+ years of experience with an Associate’s Degree (highly preferred) or technical training in a related field
> Must be a US Citizen (applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information).
> State of the art knowledge of electronics - both digital logic and analog basics.
> Knowledge of Linux, VMWare, Redhat & other software packages used in virtual machines.
> Ability to operate test equipment and build test tooling in fully integrated electronic system.
> Knowledge of test practices and procedures, specifically trouble shooting methodology.
> Ability to read/interpret schematics, assembly drawings, parts lists and wire data lists.
> Ability to understand component specifications.
