Lead Systems Engineer

Lead System Engineer

Location: Windsor Locks, CT
Pay Rate: $75/hr
Duration: 6 month W2 contract
Shift: First, 8:00am to 5:00pm
**MUST be a U.S. CITIZEN**

Description/Comment:
This Company is one of the world’s largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products. The ISR & Space Systems business unit within this Company provides products and services to global government and commercial markets that enable mission success in space, in the air, at sea and on the ground. We design and manufacture Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS) and Active Thermal Control Systems (ATCS) on a number of space & sea platforms including the International Space Station, the U.S. space suit, the next generation of space vehicles such as CST-100 and Orion, and the US Navy’s submarine fleet.

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically sound individual to join us as a Systems Engineer to perform requirements development and thermo/fluid dynamic analyses to support the design, development, validation, verification, and operational support of ECLSS and ATCS hardware for a new vehicle design .

Analyses may include: component sizing, steady state performance analyses, transient performance analyses, system development and optimization, development of Concept of Operations, Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) modeling, Finite Element Heat Transfer modeling, and fluid network modeling.

The individual may also be responsible for developing product requirements at the subsystem and component level as needed. The individual may also be responsible for generating verification documentation including compliance certifications, hardware test plans, test reports, and support hardware testing. Advanced skills in SINDA/Fluent, ANSYS ICEPAK, StarCCM, Excel & VBA, DOORS & DXL strongly desired.

Education/Requirements:
-Bachelors degree or higher
-Special NASA drug screen will be required post-employment
