JSG is seeking a Technical Publications & Content Distribution for a 15+ months contract opportunity in Shelton, CT!

Description:

The Canadian Maritime Helicopter Program (CMHP) Program is looking for a talented and motivated Organization level (O Level) Publications Avionics Analyst to support the development and sustainment of the Company CMHP CH-148 Publications. Candidate will report directly to the CMHP Integrated Product Team (IPT) – Tech Pubs Lead. The technical manual series for this program is prepared in accordance with S1000D authoring specification and delivered in an Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) product. This IETM contains principles of Operation, Maintenance, Illustrated parts Breakdown, and Testing/Troubleshooting procedures inclusive of system diagnostics.

Tech Pubs Role/Support activities include:

Support the CMHP IPT to accomplish all contracted efforts within program cost, technical, and schedule objectives.
Research technical information, interpret technical data, and ensure error free incorporation of data consistent with related subject matter. Coordinate with key suppliers on the Integrated Mission System (IMS) technical manual coverage.
Knowledge of authoring and graphics specifications.
S1000D authoring specification technical experience a must.
Authoring tasks in an Extensive Markup Language (xml) authoring environment and develop Electronic Rapid Action (ERAC) changes as required.
Perform acceptance reviews of assigned technical manuals as required by the Statement of Work, including supplier acceptance inspections and evaluation of source data incorporation.
Perform final reviews of technical manuals to support delivery requirements.
Conduct hands-on validations as required.
Coordinate Maintenance Planning task analysis technical data into the content management authoring system.
Act as a liaison between In-Service Support (ISS), and Acquisition Engineers, Suppliers, CMHP cross IPT members, IETM/SAMS IT, and DND customer.
Investigate/reply to customer comments and also coordinate supplier incorporation of comments as applicable.
Coordinate engineering reviews to ensure turnaround times consistent with product delivery requirements.
Support In-Process Reviews as required by the Statement of Work (SOW) or as requested by the CMHP IPT Lead.
Project Management / Quality Tracking:
Ensure schedule is maintained and final delivery is made in accordance with the CMHP Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Ensure project status is maintained and reported. Experience using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) as it relates to deliverable activities within the IMS is a plus.
Possess a thorough knowledge of the terms and conditions of work conducted at the outsource supplier sites.
Perform quality evaluations on supplier projects to track and reduce defect rates.
Maintain and retain quality forms in accordance with Supportability & Training (S&T) standard work.
Customer and upper management status presentations may be required.
AS in a technical concentration or equivalent technical experience is required. BS in a technical/engineering concentration desired.
A&P license is highly desired.
Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience authoring technical publication projects using military specification requirements. Military rotary wing aircraft maintenance certification is highly desired. Experience with S1000D authoring specification a must.
Highly motivated self-starter; able to think and operate independently. Candidate must have the ability to manage multiple activities of varied size and scope.
Strong customer focus and a high degree of attention to detail. Strong communications skills (both written and verbal). Strong organizational skills.
The candidate should be results oriented and flexible to work within a dynamic team environment.
Possess a working knowledge of Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) toolset, especially Relentless Root Cause Analysis (RRCA)
