Quality Planning Engineer

Description:
Work with Manufacturing AQP or QE to conduct Safe Launch exercise perform process audits and reverse (go and see) FMEAs to qualify new production processes, and to ensure compliance to documented control plans for new products.

Review and approve supplier product-specific documentation on new and modified purchased components. Work with supplier quality engineer to ensure compliance and customer acceptance documentation is properly completed.

Required Qualifications - BS Degree in Engineering, 3+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications: Training in DOE, Advance Quality Planning Tools like DFMEA, Lean / Six Sigma, reliability test plans.

3+ years’ experience in Quality engineering in a new-product introduction environment.

3+ years’ experience performing PFMEA/DFMEA and using other Advanced Quality Planning tools.

Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational skills to anticipate, plan, self-monitor and manage workload.

Good interpersonal skills for effective leadership and team facilitation. Solid knowledge & understanding of metrology and GD&T. Knowledge of statistics experience using Minitab or other software. Experience using MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
