Description:
STS AeroStaff Services is currently hiring CNC Programmers for open positions in Neodesha, Kansas.

Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to create CNC programs using the customer supplied engineering and/or instructions from the Engineering Manager. This includes designing tools and fixtures as needed. The CNC programmer will support the CNC operators as needed with setups and troubleshooting problems or issues.

Our client is seeking a diligent, teachable and highly motivated individual who has the passion and experience for Press Brake.

Job Duties:

• A CNC Programmer’s primary task is programming parts and tools from customer provided models or drawings or internally created models or drawings
• The programs created must take into consideration material and tool usage to help minimize cost
• The CNC programmer will create drawings and work instructions as needed to assist the CNC operators with fabricating the products
• The CNC programmer will work with the engineering and production managers in finding ways to improve processes
• Read blueprints
• Ability to Program in ESPRIT and/or Catia Multiaxis
• Can manipulate 3D models in a CAD package, Catia, Rhino, SolidWorks etc.
• Understand GD&T
• Understanding of G-code
• Understanding of Feeds and Speeds
• Understanding of Tool Use
• Understanding in fixturing
• Additional Task to be performed
• Assist in machine set-ups
• Work with Production, Engineering, Quality and other departments, as appropriate, to work through dimensional studies
• Participate in root cause analysis studies and provide input to corrective actions, as required
• Create 2D drawings of products and tools
• Assist with manufacturing planning
• Perform 1st off on Machined parts and tools
• Assist with continuous improvement activities

Qualifications:

• A CNC Programmer must have minimum of (1) years’ of Programming experience with CNC machines including, but not limited to mills and lathes; Tech school training or College degree is a plus
• A CNC Programmer must be able to pick up 50 pounds without assistance in standard conditions and in a normal working environment
