CNC Programmer/Prototype Machinist

Description:
•MasterCam, PTC CREO CNC Software, Pro/engineer PRO/NC CNC software, EZCAM and FeatureCam software experience is preferable
•Requires extensive experience in CNC mill programming, setup and operation, minimum of 10 years CNC related experience
•Requires a thorough knowledge of machine shop, tool room practices and shop practices
•Requires extensive knowledge of the workability of ferrous, non-ferrous metals, plastics and other composite materials and their machining characteristics
•Ability to work from limited design information or guidance in order to fabricate/machine prototype concept/item
•Requires a very thorough knowledge of machine shop and tool room operations and a high level of skill and ingenuity in improvisation

•Use advanced theories and concepts of Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) to provide the best solutions
•Transform information from prints, written instructions, sketches and oral instructions into finished working mechanisms and assemblies
•Efficiently sets up and operates all types of precision tool room equipment
•Use precision measuring equipment and Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools
•Set machines to extremely close interrelated tolerances and finish requirements, working on devices and parts having intricate irregular shapes, exercising the utmost care to insure the proper fitting together of precision parts
•Perform all necessary mathematical computations related to the dimensions, tolerances, set-up and speeds and feeds of parts and machines
