Systems Engineer Staff (ACTIVE DoD SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED)

Location: Huntsville, AL
Pay Rate: $70/hr
Duration: 15 month W2 contract
Shift: First, 9/80, exempt OT
**MUST have an ACTIVE DoD SECRET CLEARANCE**

Position Description
THAAD Ground Systems Development (GSD) Systems Engineer reporting to the TFCC Force Operations Lead for development of Concept of Operations, functional and algorithm design for defense planning and evaluation.
-Selected candidate will also support systems engineering efforts for the THAAD Portable Planner for BMDS integration and additional new capability development.
-Selected candidate will be responsible for algorithm prototyping within the TFCC FO suite of modeling and simulation tools; development of new analysis tools, conduct analysis for assessment of prototype design; generation of Algorithm Description Documentation of final design; support to software development teams for formal software development and test activities.
-Selected candidate will also support program planning, and program execution status activities, and proposal development for new efforts.

Skills Required
-Past experience with missile defense algorithm development and analysis Modeling/simulation experience
-C/C++ programming experience
-Matlab proficiency
-Experience in Missile Defense Concepts and Interoperability
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to successfully interface with LM Senior Management, Customers, and members of U.S. Army Air Defense community at large

Experience Required
-Experience with Missile Defense
-Experience in Requirements and Verification
-Experience with the DOORS Requirements Database
-Experience with program planning, program execution, and proposal development
