Description:
EDUCATION
BS, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
MS, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering

Experience as design/ component engineer with semiconductor industry, an electrical component engineer with an Avionics OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), or as a DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages)/Obsolescence Technical Engineer.

Provide design guidance to engineering/suppliers for use of preferred parts to minimize impact from DMSMS

Review new designs and propose replacement options for both electrical and mechanical component selections based on cost, volume, DMSMS, reliability, quality and availability.
Interface with equipment manufacturers and LRU suppliers to clarify parts support, availability and recommended resolutions.

Manage component lifecycle and Bill of Material grading through DMSMS forecast tool [e.g. Silicon Expert, IHS, Q-Star, etc.] to identify, forecast, and resolve obsolete component issues.
Investigate and close DMSMS issues from engineering, production, and/or fielded parts.
Identify and analyze critical parts and recommend resolutions for proactive monitoring efforts.

Develop processes and lead working group meetings to track status and action items for a given design or manufacturing issues regarding; DMSMS, failure analysis, corrective actions, and root cause analysis.
Measure and track internal metrics to ensure DMSMS processes are being followed and implemented.
