MRB Stress Engineer

Description:
Essential Job Functions:
Perform structural Static and Fatigue analysis of Composite/Metallic nacelle component structure nonconformity using standard analysis methods and finite element analysis using Patran/Nastran to justify the repair/use as is disposition
Leverage Structural Analysis and Finite Element knowledge to execute projects involving Simulations and Analyses
Execute stress analysis tasks using Hand Calculations and FEA software
Make technical recommendations based on engineering judgment
Coordinate with our customer’s engineers to ensure timely delivery and minimize impact to production schedule
Create Technical Documentation and standard work
Continuously improve technical and procedural tools, work instructions, etc. to ensure repeatability
Follow all regulatory and company procedures, including thorough recording of all work to ensure task traceability

Qualifications
Preferred BS degree in Mechanical, Structures, or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
1 to 3 years’ experience in Airframe stress analysis or stress engineering with Aerostructures components
Experience in analysis of aerospace structures
Proficiency with NASTRAN/PATRAN
Familiarity with math & data software, e.g. Excel, Access, Mathcad
Experience with Quality Engineering or MRB preferred
