Electrical Design Engineer - 1 Contract Position - 1 Direct Position

Description:
Duties
Including, but not limited to, the following:
Generate Test Procedures and Reports
Develop pre‐defined designs
Use prescribed methods to develop solutions which impact functions or products within the Engineering Department
Use design initiative to develop solutions which impact specific areas of functions outside of the Engineering Department


Education
Bachelor of Science (BS) OR Master of Science (MS) in applicable engineering discipline from an accredited four‐year university
Equivalent experience which may substitute for education requirements: 14 to 16 total years of direct, applicable experience

Other Experience & Expertise
Specific experience with Garman G1000 avionic system
Familiarity with FAR Part 23
CAD Familiarity; Advanced skills with Siemen’s NX CAD software preferred


Authority and Responsibility
Successful with little to no supervision



Design Engineer III
Design Engineer: Design engineers design the parts, assemblies, and installations which ultimately become products. Core competencies for design engineering are: aeronautical, electrical, and mechanical. At a minimum, Design Engineers should hold a Bachelor of Science in an applicable engineering field.

Duties
Including, but not limited to, the following:
Generate Test Procedures and Reports
Develop pre-defined designs which have minimal impact to Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) compliance
Use prescribed methods to develop solutions which impact specific areas of FAR compliance
Use design initiative to develop solutions which impact specific areas of FAR compliance and which require cross-functional coordination.


Education
Bachelor of Science (BS) OR Master of Science (MS) in applicable engineering discipline from an accredited four‐year university
Equivalent experience which may substitute for education requirements: 14 to 16 total years of direct, applicable experience

Other Experience & Expertise
Familiarity with FAR Part 23; thorough knowledge of specific areas of FAR Part 23
CAD Familiarity; Advanced skills with Siemen’s NX CAD software preferred.
