Landing Gear Systems Engineers

Description:
Seeking landing gear systems engineers. Velocity represents an aerospace flight test, engineering and certification organization that provides development services to aircraft modifiers and OEM�s. They are a small but rapidly growing company in Seattle, WA that was founded in 2001. Their core team is comprised of very talented and experienced aerospace engineers, technicians, mechanics, and specialist consultants. They strive to create a high functioning, collaborative environment where team members can find opportunities for professional growth and innovation.

We are seeking Landing Gear systems Engineers to work with our client on a new commercial aircraft flight test certification program.

Essential functions:
� Landing Gear System requirements verification and validation (ARP4754).
� Prepare and review test specifications, procedures and test reports.
� Support flight test and ground test activities.
� Analyze test data and evaluate system operation.
� Provide engineering input to technical reviews
� Identify and communicate technical risks for the landing gear system
� Support overall certification effort for the landing gear system

Desired Qualifications:
� Aircraft flight test certification program experience.
� Experience with Hydo-Mechanical systems (valves, actuators, uplocks etc.)
� Knowledge of materials, mechanical systems, and failure mechanisms
� Knowledge of Part 25 Airworthiness Regulations and Means of Compliance
� Strong ability to analyze results, develop defensible conclusions and recommendations, and communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing (summaries, documents, reports, presentations).
� A team player with the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and work effectively with others across disciplines, functions, and organizations.
� Ability to represent the client professionally and positively during client interactions and meetings.
� Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related Science.
