Contingent - CAD Specialist

Description:
AS Degree/Certification in Design or Engineering Technology or related field. CATIA V5 (8+ years experience or 16,000 hours of CATIA). Workbenches: GSD, FTA, part pesign. Drafting exposure to various technologies as required by the dept. speciality area (stamping, injection molding, forging, casting, etc.) which shall include: Forming requirements, tooling requirements, cost drivers. Ability quickly to adapt to new tools and processes so as to enable efficient vehicle development. Assist design engineer(s) by making recommendations with consideration towards manufacturing feasibility by considering formability. Create layouts and part geometry based upon requests, requirements or the direction of the design engineer PIC for the part.

1) CatiaV5 - VPM Navi - Catia Expert in: Advanced Solid & Surfacing, Meshing, Sheet Metal, Draft Analysis, Digital Mockup (SPA)
2) Manufacturing Knowledge - Sheet Metal (forming, stamping, welding), Injection Mold, Blow Mold, Pipe Forming, Process Control
3) Engineering Capability - Tolerance Stack-up, Part Design (function, cost, weight), Materials.
