Mechanical Designer

Description:
A Mechanical Designer job in Florence KY is available through TriMech Services. In this role you will be working under the Project Engineering Lead providing design and drafting support utilizing NX CAD Software.

Summary of Job Description:

The Senior Mechanical Designer will be working under the direction of the Project Engineers, the Designer will create 3-D CAD models and assemblies in support of proper design at the component or subsystem level. The Designer will also work collaboratively with other Designers on the program to ensure best practices of solid modeling are properly implemented in the design and development of vehicle transportation systems for Military applications. The Designer will also work closely with the assigned Engineer in the completion of the drawing package.

Job Requirements:

8 Plus years of Mechanical Design Experience utilizing 3D CAD tools
Provide 3D design and drawing support utilizing Siemens NX Solid Modeling Software (2-3 years exp preferred)
New Product Design Experience
Experience Designing Hydraulics
Experience with design of vehicle suspension systems
Experience with steering axles and Trunnion Suspension experience are a bonus
Siemens NX Drawing development/creation
Model Based Definition (MBD) is preferred
THIS IS A LONG TERM CONTRACT POSITION (12-18 months plus)
