Avionics Firmware Engineer

Description:
ENEA Software & Services, in partner with an Aerospace client, are looking to fill an immediate opening:

Firmware Engineer
To work on a 6-9 month contract in Gig Harbor, WA

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, code, test and debug system software.
• Interface with hardware design and development.
• Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources.

Experience Requirements:
• Related Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
• 3-5 years’ experience developing real time embedded software;
• Proficiency with C, C++;
• An understanding of the prototyping and reverse engineering method of developing and certifying avionics;
• Familiar with source control and issue tracking systems;
• Willingness to follow rigorous processes for designing, implementing and testing code (DO-178B/C desired)
• Experience with DOORS, TI ARM processors, and Code Composer Studio desired;
• Ability to collaborate, innovate and bring technical zeal;
• Passion for aviation and familiarity with rotorcraft a plus!
