AVIONICS SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Description:
ENEA Software & Services, in partner with an Aerospace client, are looking to fill an immediate opening:

AVIONICS SYSTEMS ENGINEER
To work on a 6-9 month contract in Gig Harbor, WA
Responsibilities:
• Write requirements for the Systems Requirement Document (SYRD) and Mechanical Engineering Requirements Document (MERD).
• Write and execute tests (SBC based) for performing operational and functional tests and outputting pass/fail/data.
• Use of DOORS for requirements tracking and tracing.
• Produce FAA certification reports
• Participate in FAA Systems and Software (SR and SOI) reviews

Experience Requirements:
• Superior technical communication and writing skills with experience using requirement management tools, such as DOORS, Reqtify or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in requirements and/or testing.
• Embedded C/C++ Proficiency
• Individual must have a passion for aviation hardware and thrive in a fast paced environment
• Pilot background familiar with autopilots and other avionics for rotorcraft and fixed wing desired.
• FAA flight test engineering and data processing/analysis experience desired
• Hardware, Altium, DO-178B/C, ARP4754A, ARM Processor, I2C, RS-232/485, ARINC 429 familiarity desired.
