Electro Mechanical Systems Engineer

Description:
We have an outstanding Contract position for an Electro Mechanical Systems Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Baltimore, MD surrounding area.

Job Responsibilities:
Provide electro-mechanism system engineering support for the development of an Electro-Mechanical Actuation System including, but not be limited to, performing concept trades, concept design, and detailed design of mechanisms systems and their components for moving and dynamic applications.
Provide oversight for fabrication, assembly, and testing services, including life testing in the development
of prototypes, and flight electromechanical systems.
Specific deliverables include; system requirements/specification documents, concept trade studies,
concept and detailed design, test plans, and execution oversight.

Top Skills Details:
Strong Mechanisms experience on aerospace actuation hardware or other similar high-reliability experience.
Electromechanical experience - small electric driven motor systems, actuators, precision motion control, etc.
Experience with systems-level oversight of hardware development.
Knowledge of software and electrical interfacing design

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with systems requiring precision motion is required and systems utilizing electromechanical or other means for actuation, and sensors for detecting velocity, position, or other physical parameters, along with a closed-loop or open-loop feedback controller.
Experience with electromechanical systems in severe environments where systems are subjected to harsh acoustic, EMI/EMC, and vibration environments is preferred.
Experience in setting up and operating electronic design and test equipment and the testing.
Experience working on the aerospace industry, DoD in design, assembly, integration, and test programs is preferred.
