Senior NX Design Engieer

Senior Design Engineer
Irvine, CA
12+ month contract

Our client is looking for a Senior Design Engineer to take on design responsibilities in the development of pilot control systems, throttle control systems, large actuator, and related flight control products for the next generation of business, regional, military and air-transport aircraft.

Design engineering duties will span the entire product life cycle, from initial design and requirement capture through manufacture and system testing. While working in a cross-functional team environment, daily tasks will include:

-Design and development of mechanical components, sub-assemblies and assemblies using NX tool
-Review customer feedback on engineering drawings and make necessary changes to the drawings.
-Apply GD&T and using tolerance stack up for proper form, fit, and function
-Work with change control team to release drawings/ Models
-Coordinate with the mod center and manufacturing operations for lab units and production units

Must Have Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree
-12-15 years of design experience of mechanical system, machined parts
-Experience in manufacturing process, surface finish, materials.
-Competent in GD&T and Tolerance Stack up calculation
-Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
-Team leadership experience

Preferred skills:
-10 years or more solid modeling experience (NX8.5/NX10)
-Experience working in aerospace industries
