Embedded Software Engineer 3

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a member of the Software Engineering department you will:
• Be a key player in an agile software development team
• Solve challenging engineering problems and participate in the development of real-time safety critical embedded software using industry best practices
• Ensure software testability, test coverage and test maintainability
• Be responsible for assuring the delivery of high quality products and software services
• Prototype and integrate software solutions on target hardware platforms
• Consult and support fellow electronic hardware engineers and other engineering staff
• Take responsibility for achieving goals and meeting project deadlines
• Have fun in a tight knit team while working on a game changing UAS!

QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with compiled programming languages, C/C++.
• Understanding of computing machinery (memory, secondary storage, I/O, FPGA, processor, data bus, etc.) as it relates to software.
• Experience with microcontroller/assembly/firmware development.
• Experience designing for resource constrained systems and experience with firmware and embedded systems software development.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, careful attention to detail, open to taking direction and adapting to course corrections.
• Experience with hands-on troubleshooting hardware and debugging software
• Ideal candidate has experience with safety critical systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work well individually or in a team.
• Ability to independently identify and address tasks
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment
