CNC Programmer (Aerospace)

Description:
Sterling Engineering's clients work with the Department of Defense. The Department of Defense requires, for security purposes, that all employees be US Citizens. This position is located in Rockford, IL.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or math discipline – desired
5+ years CNC programming experience required, including:

o Horizontal Machining Centers (w/ 5th axis table) (i.e. Makino A81)

-OR-

o Multi-Axis Mill/Turn (i.e. Okuma Multus)

-AND-

o Experience programming in Esprit (required), Unigraphics, or DelCam

o Ability to select proper cutting tools for aluminum/stainless steel – required

o Knowledge of applicable work holding methods – required

o Hands on machining experience – desired

o Vericut experience – required

o WinTool experience – desired

o GD&T and Blueprint knowledge – required

o Strong written and verbal communication skills - required

o Ability to function as a team member – required
