Description:
The Global Sales & Marketing Customer Engagement (CE) function is responsible for delivering unparalleled customer experiences that strengthen relationships, enhance business growth and advance the global brand of The client Company.
As a member of the BDS Customer Engagement team, you will provide leadership and support in strategic event planning and marketing support to various BDS programs, both domestic and international. The position is focused on providing support to the client Military Aircraft (BMA) and Vertical Lift business units of BDS as well as to research-and-development programs and site, community, local government, and supplier activities.

Candidate will report to the Manager-Customer Engagement for client Defense, Space, and Security located in St. Louis, MO. The role requires the planning, coordination and execution of complex customer visits, special events, conferences, product demonstrations, site tours, and sponsored functions for U.S. Department of Defense and international customers, as well as senior client and industry partner executives.

Candidate will be required to lead or assist with customer engagements, manage vendors, prepare and deliver executive event briefs, and assess event effectiveness at the local client site and other venues. The job entails the use of event planning and project management skills, marketing tactics, clear understanding of customer requirements, a substantial working knowledge of U.S. and foreign government regulations, familiarity with international cultures and customs, and strict adherence to company guidelines, policies, and procedures. You will continuously collect, integrate and disseminate information to all stakeholders to ensure execution to the plan. In addition, you will utilize event management tools and data to capture and closeout event reports.

Demonstrated leadership, event project management, strategy, marketing, communications and teambuilding skills are key to this role. Other essential skills and competencies are business knowledge, flexibility, attention to detail, decisiveness, forward thinking and a positive approach to change and innovation. The role requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision, meet deadlines and event budget targets, create and maintain effective working relationships and customer partnerships.

Education / Experience:
Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
