About the Role

As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, account reconciliations, and financial reporting activities. Your work will directly support the financial health and operational efficiency of a leading aviation manufacturing site.

This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for extension, offering a flexible schedule of approximately 30 hours per week and no expected overtime.

Pay Rate: $28.88 per hour

Schedule: Approximately 30 hours per week with flexibility to work either 4 full days or 5 shorter days

Work Environment: Fully On-Site

Contract Length: 6 Months with potential extension

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

• Process, review, investigate, and resolve accounts payable invoice discrepancies.
  
• Monitor accounts payable aging reports and follow up on outstanding items.
  
• Respond to vendor and internal customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
  
• Maintain accurate vendor records and account information.
  
• Reconcile accounts payable balances and investigate variances.
  
• Prepare, review, and manage Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GRIR) reporting and aged balances.
  
• Coordinate vendor payment processing activities.
  
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
  
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as needed.
  
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency within the accounts payable function.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and 2-3 years of relevant accounting or accounts payable experience.
  

OR

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, or a closely related field in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
  
• Experience reconciling accounts and resolving invoice discrepancies.
  
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting manufacturing, aerospace, aviation, or industrial environments.
  
• Familiarity with GRIR reporting and reconciliation processes.
  
• Experience participating in month-end and year-end close activities.
  
• Knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
