PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced CNC Studer Grinder Operator to support precision machining operations in a high-tolerance manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong CNC grinding background, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently hold extremely tight tolerances while operating multiple machines.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate CNC Studer grinding machines.
  
• Maintain production while holding tolerances as tight as .0003 inches.
  
• Operate multiple machines simultaneously.
  
• Read and interpret:
  
  
  
  • Blueprints
    
  • Engineering drawings
    
  • Design sketches
    
  
  
  
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision inspection equipment.
  
• Apply shop-floor mathematics and inspection techniques to ensure product quality.
  
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments.
  
• Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
• Follow all safety, manufacturing, and quality procedures.
  

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
  
• 4-6 years of CNC machining or grinding experience.
  
• Experience operating CNC grinding equipment.
  
• Ability to work with extremely tight tolerances.
  
• Strong blueprint reading skills.
  
• Knowledge of precision measurement and inspection methods.
  
• Understanding of shop mathematics and machining principles.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Studer grinder experience.
  
• Conventional grinding experience.
  
• Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  
• Experience with precision machining and aerospace manufacturing.
  
• Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and precision inspection tools.
  
• Manufacturing certifications in machining or related disciplines.
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to approximately 30 lbs.
  
• Ability to stand and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods.
  
• Comfortable working around machinery and industrial equipment.
  
• Ability to safely follow all shop safety requirements.
