We're looking for a licensed professional to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining wastewater treatment operations at a premier facility.

What You'll Do

As a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, you will:

✅ Monitor and operate wastewater treatment systems to ensure environmental compliance

✅ Perform laboratory testing and analyze water and wastewater samples

✅ Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation

✅ Troubleshoot operational issues and make process adjustments to maintain plant performance

✅ Perform preventive and routine maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, and treatment equipment

✅ Respond to operational alarms and emergency situations

✅ Maintain inventory of treatment chemicals, laboratory supplies, and equipment

✅ Support state inspections, audits, contractors, and facility improvement projects

✅ Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and safety regulations

✅ Maintain accurate operational, maintenance, and laboratory records

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Valid Driver's License

• New Jersey S-3 Sewage Plant Operator License

• New Jersey C-2 Collection System License

• Minimum 6 years of wastewater treatment operations and maintenance experience

• Minimum 3 years of laboratory testing experience involving water and wastewater samples

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and regulatory requirements

• Experience with environmental reporting and compliance

• Mechanical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance skills

• Excellent recordkeeping and documentation abilities

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work independently and respond effectively in emergency situations
