Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Assists in leading architecture, design, development, and analyses of software systems.

Partners with stakeholders to oversee translation of software requirements and models that meet customer, operational, and performance requirements.

Assists in completion of software system-level analyses to identify risk, issues, and opportunities.

Leads software team to complete code reviews ensuring alignment to requirements and standards.

Oversees review of product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards.

Researches and oversees implementation of current and emerging software technologies, tools, and frameworks.

Applies foundational Computer Science knowledge and object-oriented design and software patterns.

Applies experience with space or satellite ground mission capabilities, products, domain, and customers.

Supports hardware or software integration, emulation, and testing in a lab environment.

Applies software development practices including test-driven development, agile software development, DevSecOps, and CI/CD management.

Requirements:

Active Top Secret Security Clearance required to start.

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

10+ years of experience in foundational Computer Science knowledge and object-oriented design and software patterns.

Experience with space or satellite ground mission capabilities, products, domain, and customers.

Preferred: Bachelor's or above degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred: Experience with one or more of Java, C++, Python, JS frameworks such as REACT, jQuery UI, or Open Layers, Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, MongoDB, REST, and OpenAPI.

Preferred: Experience using dependency management and automation services such as Ivy, Maven, Gradle, Git, or Jenkins.

Preferred: Experience using cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS or Azure.

Preferred: Experience as Technical Lead Engineer, Software Lead, Software Architect, or Chief Engineer on a complex software development project or program.

Preferred: Experience with large Database Management Systems requiring SQL for complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, and database design.
