Location: Phoenix, AZ

Job Type: Full-Time Contract (12 Months)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | First Shift | 5/40 Schedule

Pay Rate: $33.30 per hour

As an Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting factory and engineering operations by ensuring equipment, tools, and workspaces remain safe, compliant, and fully operational. From preventative maintenance and calibration coordination to repairs and workstation deployment, your expertise will help drive efficiency, productivity, and reliability across the organization.

What You'll Do

Equipment Maintenance & Reliability

• Perform preventative maintenance on carts, lifting equipment, shadow boxes, fume extractors, test stands, and other shop assets.
  
• Complete annual maintenance and upkeep on more than 45 pieces of shop and test equipment.
  
• Ensure equipment remains functional, compliant, and available to support daily operations.
  
• Support facility and shop improvement projects as assigned.
  

Calibration & Equipment Management

• Coordinate calibration schedules and activities for shop tools and equipment.
  
• Track maintenance records, calibration requirements, and service schedules.
  
• Work with internal teams and external vendors to maintain equipment readiness and compliance.
  

Technical Repairs & Assembly

• Coordinate and perform basic repairs on high-use connectors, cable assemblies, and test equipment.
  
• Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining electrical assemblies and mechanical systems.
  
• Support engineers with routine repairs and vendor-managed maintenance activities.
  
• Assemble, install, and deploy new workstations, fixtures, and hardware throughout the year.
  

Process Improvement & Documentation

• Maintain and improve shop processes, procedures, and documentation.
  
• Track inventory, maintenance schedules, and work requests.
  
• Help establish efficient workflows that support engineering and production objectives.
  
• Ensure documentation is accurate, organized, and up to date.
  

Cross-Functional Support

• Collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and operations teams.
  
• Respond effectively to urgent maintenance and operational issues.
  
• Balance recurring maintenance responsibilities with time-sensitive support needs.
  

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical support, engineering technician, manufacturing technician, maintenance technician, or similar role.
  
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, electrical assemblies, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
  
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices and equipment safety standards.
  
• Ability to assemble and deploy workstations, fixtures, and production hardware.
  
• Experience reading and interpreting equipment manuals, basic schematics, and workflow documentation.
  
• Experience coordinating calibrations, repairs, or vendor services.
  
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage maintenance schedules, inventory, and service requests.
  
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
  
• Ability to work in a shop environment and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
  
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while responding to changing operational needs.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or engineering operations.
  
• Knowledge of test equipment maintenance and calibration processes.
  
• Experience working with cable assemblies, connectors, and electrical test systems.
  
• Familiarity with continuous improvement practices and process documentation.
  
• Background supporting engineering teams in production or laboratory environments.
  
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a technical setting.
