Position Details

Job Title: Quality Specialist

Job Type: Full-Time | Contract (12 Months) with Potential for Conversion

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Schedule: Monday-Friday | First Shift | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Pay Rate: $21.00-$27.00 per hour

Candidates should be comfortable with the conversion pay range of $21.00-$27.00 per hour upon hire.

As a Quality Specialist, you'll help ensure products and processes consistently meet quality standards across manufacturing and operational environments. Working closely with production, engineering, and cross-functional teams, you'll identify opportunities for improvement, resolve quality concerns, and contribute to a culture focused on excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

Drive Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Support quality assurance activities to ensure adherence to specifications, procedures, and industry standards.
  
• Inspect products and processes to verify compliance with quality requirements.
  
• Monitor quality performance metrics and report findings to internal teams.
  

Analyze and Resolve Quality Issues

• Investigate defects, discrepancies, and non-conformance issues.
  
• Work with production and engineering teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  
• Provide constructive feedback to production teams to prevent recurring defects and improve overall product quality.
  

Interpret Technical Documentation

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
  
• Verify product dimensions and characteristics using measurement tools and inspection equipment.
  
• Ensure products meet engineering and customer requirements.
  

Support Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
  
• Participate in quality reviews, audits, and improvement initiatives.
  
• Assist in maintaining documentation and quality records.
  

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency using measurement tools and inspection equipment.
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and related documentation.
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as business needs require.
  
• Ability to provide feedback and recommendations that support quality improvements and defect prevention.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing, aerospace, aviation, or a regulated production environment.
  
• Experience performing inspections and documenting quality findings.
  
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and corrective action processes.
  
• Experience collaborating with engineering, production, and operations teams.
  
• Knowledge of industry quality standards and compliance practices.
