Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Spray Painter's for a contract opportunity in Newport News, VA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o High school diploma or equivalent. o Candidates must have at least one to three years of experience applying marine coatings, including epoxy, high-solids epoxy, and non-epoxy paints. o Applying coatings using brushes, rollers, and/or spray applicators while maintaining the required coating thickness in mils. o Working in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces and at heights. o Using half-face and full-face respiratory equipment. Certification Requirements. o The Spray Painter requirements provided reference certification under NSTM Chapter 631, Section 11.5, and NAVSEA Standard Item 009-32. o Previously released separate C-12 Spray Painter orders requiring the applicable spray painter certification. Because these were separate from standard painter requisitions, certification requirements may vary by order and should be confirmed against the specific requisition being released. o PPE Hard hat, safety, glasses, respirator, steel toes, ear muffs, full face respirator.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS: All shifts.
