We have an outstanding Contract opportunity for a Systems Engineering Specialist with a leading aerospace and defense organization in Canoga Park, CA.
Location: Canoga Park, CA
Pay Rate: $59.00/hour
US Citizenship Required
Active Secret Security Clearance Required
This role is ideal for a systems engineer with experience in aerospace, defense, requirements management, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) who is looking to contribute to cutting-edge rocket propulsion system development.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, allocate, and manage system, subsystem, and component requirements for rocket propulsion programs.
Perform requirements verification, compliance assessment, and certification activities using MBSE tools.
Conduct functional analysis and system trade studies to support architecture and design decisions.
Coordinate risk and opportunity management activities, including mitigation planning and reporting.
Communicate technical findings through presentations, reports, and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
✔ Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
✔ 4+ years of Systems Engineering experience, preferably within aerospace or defense
✔ Experience with:
• Requirements Management
• Risk Management
• Product Development Lifecycle
• IBM DOORS
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree in a related field
Liquid Rocket Propulsion experience
