Mechanical Design Engineer

Description:
Qualifications:
*Bachelors or higher degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or combination of experience/education.
*Mechanical design knowledge / experience that includes the interpretation of engineering design drawings.
*Knowledge with engineering CAD tools (Creo, Solid Works, etc.) and model based product definition.
*Understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures, mechanisms, materials and analysis.
*Must be a U.S. Citizen

Skills:
*5 or more years of relevant professional experience in structural design
*Ability and desire to assume ownership of tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficiently.
*Experience with application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5.
*Experience with Engineering Data Product release process within the Engineering Product Data Management (EPDM) system.

In this role, you will work as an engineer focused on Satellite Bus Structures Design. Primary tasks include updating 3D CAD models of spacecraft structures using PTC Creo Parametric. Creating and releasing engineering drawings and annotated 3D models using GD&T principles. Managing engineering drawing releases through a Product Data Management System.
